1. DEFINITIONS

For the purposes of these Terms of Use, the following terms shall have the meanings set out below:

  • “ArcelorMittal”: refers to the company ArcelorMittal Building Solutions France, a simplified joint-stock company whose registered office is located at Zone industrielle Site 1, 55800 Contrisson (France), registered with the Bar-le-Duc Trade and Companies Register under number 485 720 627.
  • “Terms of Use” or “Terms”: refers to all provisions set out below defining the terms and conditions of access to and use of the Site published by ArcelorMittal.
  • “User Account”: refers to the personal space reserved for the User and accessible via a confidential username and password, allowing access to certain Services or Content.
  • “Content”: refers, without limitation, to the structure and architecture of the Services, images and descriptions of ArcelorMittal products, editorial content, videos, texts, sections, drawings, illustrations, photos, images, and any other elements available on the Services.
  • “Site”: refers to the online public communication service published by ArcelorMittal, accessible in particular at the following address:

  • “Services”: refers to the services accessible from the Site and published by ArcelorMittal.
  • “User”: refers to any natural person accessing the Site and the Services.

 

2. SCOPE AND ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS OF USE

2.1 Acceptance of the Terms of Use

The Terms of Use, written in French, govern access to and use of the Site and its Services.

Any connection to, consultation of, or use of the Site implies full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms. If the User does not agree with the Terms, they must refrain from accessing the Site.

Certain Services may require acceptance of specific conditions (hereinafter “Specific Conditions”) or General Terms and Conditions of Sale (“GTC”). In case of conflict, the GTC shall prevail.

2.2 Modification of the Terms

ArcelorMittal may modify the Terms at any time to adapt them to changes in the Site and the Services.
The applicable Terms are those in effect at the time of access to the Site.
It is the User’s responsibility to review the Terms regularly.

 

3. USE OF THE SITE

3.1 General Rules

The User acknowledges being informed that:

  • they must have an Internet access at their own expense;
  • the reliability of transmissions cannot be guaranteed (heterogeneous networks, risks of failures or congestion);
  • they are responsible for taking all necessary measures to protect their equipment and data (antivirus, firewall, backups, etc.);
  • any device connected to the Site remains under their sole responsibility;
  • ArcelorMittal shall not be held liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from access to the Site.

3.2 Creating an Account

Access to certain Services requires the creation of a User Account.
The User agrees to provide accurate, complete, and regularly updated information. They must not use a pseudonym that infringes the rights of third parties.

ArcelorMittal collects certain personal data when creating the account (see Privacy Policy).

3.3 Registration Confirmation

A confirmation email is automatically sent to the User.
ArcelorMittal shall not be held liable for incomplete, erroneous, or illegible information provided by the User.

3.4 Use of the Account

Login credentials are strictly personal and confidential.
Any action carried out via the Account is deemed to have been performed by the User.
In case of loss or fraudulent use of the credentials, the User must inform ArcelorMittal as soon as possible.

 

4. EXTERNAL LINKS AND THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The Site may offer links to third-party websites or external services.
ArcelorMittal is not responsible for:

  • the content, information, or services provided by these third parties;
  • any potential damage resulting from their use.

Access to a third-party service is subject to its own terms and conditions.

 

5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The trademarks “ArcelorMittal”, “Transforming Tomorrow” and the ArcelorMittal logo are registered trademarks. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

All elements of the Site are protected by intellectual property law.
Any unauthorized reproduction or representation is prohibited and may be subject to legal action.

 

6. PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

In connection with the use of the Services, ArcelorMittal may collect personal data.

In accordance with the GDPR, this data is processed in a transparent, confidential, and secure manner, for limited purposes (e.g., commercial management, CRM).

The data collected may include:
first name, last name, title, language, position, professional email address, telephone number, and professional postal address.

User rights:

  • access, rectification, erasure;
  • restriction of processing;
  • objection;
  • withdrawal of consent;
  • complaint to the supervisory authority.

7. WARRANTY AND LIABILITY

The Site may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance.
ArcelorMittal does not guarantee the absence of interruptions, errors, viruses, or intrusions.

ArcelorMittal shall not be held liable in the event of force majeure (weather events, natural disasters, strikes, network outages, cyberattacks, legal obligations, etc.).

The User shall indemnify ArcelorMittal against any claim arising from their use of the Site.

 

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

ArcelorMittal shall not be held liable for indirect damages such as:

  • loss of profits,
  • loss of data,
  • loss of revenue,
  • commercial or intangible damages.

In the event of proven liability, compensation is strictly limited to direct damages.

 

9. RIGHT OF REPLY

In accordance with the Law, any person named on the Site may exercise a right of reply.

The request must be sent by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt to the Site’s Publication Director, within 3 months, with all relevant references.

 

10. MISCELLANEOUS

If any clause of the Terms is declared invalid, the remaining clauses shall remain in effect.
Invalidated clauses shall be replaced by provisions that are legally and functionally similar.

Users must comply with the laws applicable in their country of residence.

 

11. APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Terms are governed by local law.

Any dispute relating to their interpretation or performance shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, unless otherwise required by law.
